Wirelessly

ResLink

Data Without
Boundaries

Wireless downhole data, powering faster decision making across every resource.

EM telemetry transmits data through the ground instead of a cable. A downhole transmitter pushes an electromagnetic signal out through the casing and surrounding rock; sensors at surface pick it up and decode it into live readings — no wireline, nothing run between gauge and surface.

The principle isn’t new — it’s been used in measurement-while-drilling for decades, and the same physics is used in military applications to talk to submarines, or allowing mine rescue teams to communicate with trapped miners. ResLink has adapted it for cased wells, engineering the technology for both multi-year permanent deployments and simple short-term interventions, across all resources, including Geothermal, Hydrogen, Carbon-storage, CSG and Conventional oil and gas wells.

EM Telemetry Theory

EM Telemetry Theory

Electromagnetic (EM) telemetry sends data through the earth itself, using low-frequency waves and electrical current instead of a cable. An insulated gap splits the tool string into two electrodes; a small voltage drives current through the formation and back, encoding data onto that current. At surface, ground stakes detect the returning signal, which a receiver amplifies, filters and decodes. Because the signal travels through rock rather than a wire, its range depends on formation resistivity, not distance alone. The same principle applies well beyond drilling, to any use that needs to communicate through solid material.

About Us

ResLink designs and manufactures wireless downhole gauges and accessories, delivering real-time pressure, temperature and fluid composition data without cables — using electromagnetic telemetry to send readings straight through the earth to a receiver at surface, with no wireline or physical connection required. Based in Adelaide, South Australia, and backed by field and operational experience worldwide, ResLink builds rugged, simple-to-install tools rated for HP/HT and sour service, deployed globally across conventional oil and gas, CBM/CSG, CCS, hydrogen and geothermal applications, from short-term surveys lasting a few hours to permanent installations running for years.
